Dr Usman Khan is a consultant neurologist at St George’s Hospital NHS Trust and has an honourary contract with St. George’s University of London. He completed his neurology training at the Atkinson Morley’s Neurosciences centre at St. George’s Hospital and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He is part of the hyperacute and acute stroke services at St. George’s Hospital as well as the Wolfson neuro-rehabilitation centre. His special interest is cerebral small vessel disease, lacunar stroke, headache and neurology rehabilitation.

Dr Munim Graduated in 1984 and obtained a MBCHB degree with CCST degree in Geriatric and General Internal Medicine. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1996 and a fellow in 2006. He has worked in both the acute medical and rehabilitation units at Frimley Park and Farnham Hospitals. He has also worked on the Stroke unit for many years, has outpatient clinics at Frimley Park Hospital and sees his private patients at the Parkside Suite. Currently Dr Munim leads on the General and Stroke rehabilitation unit at Farnham Hospital and holds Stroke follow up clinics. His clinical interests are Geriatrics and General Medicine as well as Rehabilitation, Parkinson’s disease, falls and syncope.

MA MD FRCS(SN) – Consultant Neurosurgeon
Professor Marios Papadopoulos graduated with first class honours from Cambridge, and continuted his clinical medicine studies in Oxford. He obtained an MD in neuroscience from Cambridge. He completed his neurosurgery Specialist Registrar training at Atkinson Morley Hospital, Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre and the University of California at San Francisco. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Surgical Neurology.
Professor Papadopoulos heads a research laboratory at St. George’s, University of London. He published several research papers on aquaporin water channels and their roles in brain and spinal cord swelling. He also leads a clinical study (ISCoPE) aiming to devise novel surgical techniques to improve the outlook of patients with spinal cord injury.
Professor Papadopoulos has been a Consultant Neurosurgeon at St George’s Hospital in London since 2006 and has a large clinical practice.

After finishing higher medical training at the Department of Rheumatology and the Wolfson Neurorehabilitation Centre, St Georges Hospital London and before taking up his current post was appointed as a consultant Physician to Plymouth Community Hospitals in 1999.
Dr Sultan has wide experience in all rehabilitation subspecialties particularly neurological conditions like stroke, brain injury, peripheral neuropathies acute and chronic, spinal paralysis, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and musculoskeletal conditions like Back pain, Osteoarthritis of hips and knees, inflammatory arthritis like Rheumatoid and Psoriatic arthritis.
Dr Sultan is an Educational Supervisor for trainees Health Education Thames Valley, Speciality Tutor at the RBFT, delivered educational lectures nationally and internationally. He has excellent experience in setting up rehabilitation service in the UK.

Dr Abdel-Aziz is a consultant neurologist at Ashford and St Peters Hospitals and has an honorary contract with St George’s Hospital NHS Trust. He completed his neurology training at the Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Liverpool and his PhD in mechanisms of neurodegeneration and repair in multiple sclerosis at the UCL Institute of Neurology. He runs specialist clinics for patients with multiple sclerosis and refractory headache disorders.
