London's specialist neurorehabilitation hospital — founded on the belief that every person who has experienced neurological illness or injury deserves the very best chance of recovery, in an environment designed to support it.
Ascot Rehab was founded on a simple conviction: that the gap between what neurorehabilitation could be and what it usually was, was too wide to ignore. Too many patients with neurological illness and injury were receiving good therapy in ordinary settings — and ordinary was not good enough.
We set out to build something different. A hospital where clinical excellence and the most advanced technology available are delivered within an environment of genuine warmth, respect and personal attention — where the goals of the patient drive every decision, and where families are partners in the recovery journey from the very first day.
Over twelve years later, that conviction has not changed. What has changed is everything we are now able to offer in pursuit of it.
"Where clinical precision meets your potential. That has always been our measure — not just what we deliver, but what we help each person to become."
Ascot Rehabilitation Hospital · Founded 2012Ascot Rehab began as a specialist outpatient service — a small but highly focused team of neurological clinicians who believed that better outcomes were achievable through closer collaboration, greater therapeutic intensity and a more personal approach to care.
Over the years that followed, the service expanded — new disciplines, new technologies, new sites — always guided by the same clinical philosophy: that the best rehabilitation is built around the individual, not around a protocol.
Today, Ascot Rehab is a CARF-accredited inpatient hospital and multi-site outpatient service — recognised internationally for clinical excellence, named London's only Fourier Centre of Excellence, and trusted by patients, families and referrers across the UK and abroad.
Ascot Rehab established as a specialist neurological rehabilitation service in London — small team, clear vision.
Achieved international CARF accreditation — recognition of clinical standards across the inpatient rehabilitation programme.
Designated as London's only Fourier Intelligence Centre of Excellence — the full RehabHub robotic ecosystem integrated into clinical practice.
Awarded both the Queen's and King's Awards for International Excellence — recognition of Ascot Rehab's reputation and reach beyond the UK.
Brand new purpose-built inpatient hospital opened — the most advanced neurorehabilitation facility in South London.
These are not statements on a wall. They are the beliefs that determine who we hire, how we design our programmes, what we do when things are difficult — and why our patients consistently tell us that Ascot Rehab felt different to anything they had experienced before.
The patient's goals drive the programme. Not what is convenient, not what is standard, not what is easiest to measure — what independence means to that individual person.
We will not do anything that does not meet the highest clinical standards. Evidence, expertise and rigour are non-negotiable — not sometimes, not mostly, always.
Rehabilitation works when every discipline knows what every other discipline is doing and why. We collaborate as a single unit — not as separate services loosely connected.
Patients who feel safe, respected and genuinely cared for recover better. Kindness is not a soft extra — it is part of the clinical offer, inseparable from the therapy.
We do not set limits on what a patient might achieve before we know who they are. Ambition — realistic, evidence-informed, person-led ambition — is the starting point for every programme.
We invest in technology because it improves outcomes — not because it looks impressive. Every device, every platform, every system we use is clinically justified.
We measure what we do and we share the results. Outcome measurement is not a compliance exercise — it is how we know whether we are doing what we say we are doing.
We are never finished. Clinical practice evolves, evidence develops, technology advances — and Ascot Rehab advances with it. The standard we hold today is a foundation, not a ceiling.
Our clinical team includes consultant neurologists and rehabilitation physicians, specialist neurophysiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists and specialist nursing staff — all working as one coordinated team around each patient.
Every clinician at Ascot Rehab is selected not just for their clinical expertise but for their commitment to our values. We hire for care. We train for skill. The combination defines everything that happens here.

The multidisciplinary team is not a feature of Ascot Rehab — it is the architecture. Every patient has a single, integrated rehabilitation plan built and maintained by every discipline simultaneously. No siloes. No gaps. No contradictions between what one therapist says and another does.
Our MDT meets formally every week for every patient — and informally every day. Assessment findings, goal updates, progress data and discharge planning are shared in real time across every discipline. The result is care that is coherent, responsive and genuinely unified.
Accreditation and recognition are not goals at Ascot Rehab — they are consequences. When you build a genuinely excellent service, other people notice. We are proud of every award and accreditation we hold, because each one represents a rigorous external validation of what our patients already know.
From CARF's international inpatient rehabilitation accreditation to the Queen's and King's Awards for International Excellence — Ascot Rehab's recognition spans clinical standards, quality systems and international impact.
Whether you are an inpatient at our Streatham hospital, an outpatient attending our Wimpole Street rooms, you will experience the same clinical standard, the same quality of care and the same commitment to your goals.
We welcome patients from across London, the UK and internationally. Our admissions team will advise on which pathway and location best suits your needs.
From the rehabilitation gym to the hydrotherapy pool, from the MDT meeting room to the patient lounge — every corner of Ascot Rehab is a place where something meaningful is happening. These images show some of it.
